Flatslide needles

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Flatslide needles

Post by mick41zxr »

Ok, have been chaising my tail with a set of FCR's. Have been up & down needles, main & main air jets, bike makes more power top end with larger air jets, however running a larger main to compensate the needle runs too rich. Does anyone know who carries a good range of fcr needles & does anyone know how to convert an oem needle to ones on the keihin scale. Ones I have are marked 91EXR. Measured they look around the 90DTH mark, I cannot find anyone that sells a D taper needle for the FCR33.
Thanks,
MB

Thanks Cargo.
AFM, next question would be do you know where from. I have found a mob in the US that has a fair range but nothing lean enough that I want.

Thanks,
Got my hand on some funky dual taper needles that were pretty good but I have no idea where to get any others in the range.
Numbers don't match anything from Keihin.

Got another followup note that might give you more insight. It's been a few years, and he's like the absent minded professor, but he said the needles weren't a custom taper but were "Custom in the respect that they were not the ones listed for the application". Hope this helps.
