its not running rigt

Well i was at cadwell park Monday night and today, i had fun but bike dose not run right.

1st i last used this bike last year at cadwell in october and it worked brill, but now it dose not.

When i 1st go out and i have it about 8k, it just dose not go i went over mountin at cadwell, at 8k and by time i got to all bends it just started to pick up, but after time its not to bad, is it maybe bike been cold as dose it bad again when i 1st go out again.

Then i in 5th and want to change to 6th but the bike is holding back i can feel it holding back.

i was pissed all over by vfr400 and a cb500 what as 50bhp they just fly past me in a str8 line.

Then my dad come in afternoon and said the bike just dont rev right when sat it just sounds flat, also he said it dose not sound right when i go down strights.

Any ideas what could be at fault

has the bike been left standing since you last used it? The carbs could be gummed up with old fuel. Have you done any work on the bike since you last used it?

No it as not its been sat since last year

also he it used to have a ram air on it and the man i brought it off last year took it off and i dont think, it as been dyno with it off so that will not help

But also found out last nite that lad who brought it off me last year he must of drained water and filled up till rad, is full and i looked be for cadwell and found it was full,

but dad looked last nite and fuk all there this mite tell me way it got worse of the day .

The radiator will loose a bit of water through to the expansion tank because it expands when it heats up. Did you fill it with any coolant? did it take much? Hows it running temperature wise? and does it smoke when the engine is running? Just wondering if the head gasket has gone, which is why its running crap and will also explain why the water is disapearing.

well all i could think is lad drained water over winter and filled it up till was at top of rad, and you have 3 blots to remove to check water, and i dont tihkn he did this.

I have just dranied water which come out was about 3 tea cups, there was no temp and i just thought it was not working but no water would give me no temp lol

i dont tihkn it smokes but looking down end can and its rich as hell its going on dyno next week but only to a 2t dyno were i work just to see what bhp its done and were the jeting is and needs to be.

if the head gasket is gone would i get water, in the oil if yes, no it as not gone as just put new oil and filter in tonite and new plugs

zxr's can blow head gaskets without contaminating the oil, so it still could be.

top everything up and see how it is on the dyno

if the cooling system is being a pain to bleed out, then the HG's probably shot.
