Thats me on the Black zxr400, I decided to let the Aprilia through so that I could follow him for a couple of laps to see his corner speed as he was running on slicks and I was on Supercorsa pros, BIG MISTAKE I dont no quite how I managed it but I clipped his back wheel and ended up breaking my collerbone ( hence the red flag ), the bike had just a few scrapes and I managed to get out two weeks later, again at Anglesey this time with Wirral 100 but I took it a bit easy that time.

Cool video. I love seeing the 400s in action. Sad it ended that way but the resulting Youtube links are sweet. 20 years later and the 400 is still competitive.

Obviously you can ride a bike - What kinda spec is your suspension and what tyres do you prefer ? I have used Pirelli for the last 3 years, but the price has gone too high and I'm wondering if you have ever tried the new BT003 race tyre, I see it's available in four compounds now and will be around £195 a pair from Holbeach tyres.

I use Ohlins front and rear set up by MCT, re the tyres I have only ever used Pirelli, this is my second season so I dont have a great deal of experience, but at that Thundersports race I think most were using Dunlop slicks which on track seemed to have similar corner speeds to me, I was asking some of the riders about them and they said that they cost about £200 per set and last two or three meetings, that would be a big saving over the season if we could use those even taking into account that you would also need intermediates. If you do try the Bridgestones it would be interesting to know how you get on with them
