I'd love to see what you consider to be a 'properly modified' ZXR400mitogeri wrote: rmkd full race spec bike was 138kg,hardly modified aswell.

But surely that depends on the rider, not the bikemitogeri wrote:
2:15 is a nice time on Pannoniaring, but this bike must be much faster with these specs![]()

(no disrespect to the rider

Sorry Guys I didn`t want to hurt anybody.i know that laptime depends mainly on the rider of course.
I really love this bike, I was just wondering if its posible to reduce the weight that much.
Peace:)

The bike actually weighted 132kg without fuel but 'oiled and watered' the 137kg was with 5 litres ish of fuel (enough for a race)...we were aiming at 130kg(un fueled) and as the bike had a stock crank we could have lost a bit there...and a few more lighter 'fixings/fasteners' we would have got closer.

Good idea...take one of the front discs and cailpers off and use one disc and a 6 pot caliper on the front

Re: selling high end racebike zxr 440
they reckon wheels are the best place to loose weight, suppose to have the most effect,i read online somewhere, 1lb off the wheel is the same as 4lbs off the bike somewhere else, that much of an effect!
