Re: wont start
You try connecting the battery directly to the starter motor? For example:
Negative from batt earth on the motor somewhere, positive from batt directly onto the starter motor connector
You tried to turn the motor over by hand? For example:
Remove pulsar cover and turn over the crankshaft with a rachet and socket to check it hasn't locked up?

Re: wont start
ive had the engine turning over when connected direct to starter but no spark, it cant be seized as made a noise out the exhaust and could hear suction from carbs, how is the spark controlled on a bike? i know my way round a car but im new to bikes so its a learning process.

Re: wont start
Even if it was in perfect running order when it was laid up it would still struggle to start.......................how long was it laid up ?
old petrol ?
corrosion in the electrics ?
side stand switch stuck
clutch cut out switch ?
bad earth ?
is everything thats supposeed to be there actually there........................ or is there something missing.
and everything plugged in and connections clean.
kill switch faulty ?
plugs fouled ?
does it even turn over ?
are you using a fully charged battery?
is petrol actually getting to the cylinders ?
is it in gear ?
is the neutral light switch connected
Check all the fuses
bla bla bla
you going have to start from scratch and check every single bit of it

Re: wont start
Are you getting it to turn over by putting 12v directly onto the starter motor.......................................you'll not get any sparks and the fuel pump won't be running
You need to get the starter working as it should via the relay and solonoid..........................then you will have sparks and fuel
If the starter wont turn over properly then the problem then you need to find out why
side stand switch is a potential problem they stick

Re: wont start
Try and bypass the solenoid to see if it turns over
You getting voltage to the solenoid? Or just after the starter button when pressed?

Re: wont start
You sure its not a problem involving the starter button (and related wiring and connectors) itself?

Re: wont start
is that 3v with the bike running?or just ignition on?there might not be 12v at the coils if its not running as there is no need for the coils to be powered up.i might be wrong though.has your starter solenoid turned up yet?
