where's me engine number then (quicky!)

Need my engine number, cant be bothered to trial and error panels to find it, anyone tell me where it is on an L model?

are you sure ?...................I've just looked at one on the front of the engine just above the oil filter

my memory is failing with age, must have been the gixer then that was above the clutch cover

Hi, Sorry to bring up an old thread, but where did you find the number?? 'Cause Ive put a new engine in my one, and me and my engineer couldn't find a num on the new or old engine..
If you could let me know, I'd really appriciate it.

My bike is a '02 Varadero 125.
