Re: MY Driving licence
Cat A, I'm pretty sure is your entitlement to ride any sized motorbike if over 21 and restricted to 33bhp if not.
now i'm assuming that when u got your car licence you passed some sort of test am i right as most of us did?
Might just be me but i think it is a stupid question to be asking .......it's obvious you have have to pass your test.
Description Category Minimum age
Mopeds with an engine capacity not exceeding 50cc and a maximum design speed not exceeding 50km/h category P minimum age16
Light motorcycles with a cubic capacity not exceeding 125cc and a power output not exceeding 11kW (14.6bhp) category A1 minimum age 17
Motorcycles up to 25kW(33bhp) and a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kW/kg. Motorcycle combination with a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kW/kg category A minimum age 17
Any size motorcycle with or without a side carcategory A minimum age 21*
Hope this helps if not write it on in black biro

Re: MY Driving licence
if your asking about provisional bike entitlement then unless you asked for it to be put on your license( and Cat A is not provisional) when you passed your car test you won't have it and will need to go to the post office and get the forms to give you provisional entitlement. with this you can complete your cbt and then go for direct access if you are over 21. The bike test is changing so ring a local motorcycle test centre and ask them, they'll give you all the current information you need.

To do your bike theory test you need a cbt. If you have a full driving license then you can just book your cbt straight away, just ring your local riding school.
