What larger engine

Post by cthugha »

What larger engine is a easy (relatively) fit into a zx400L. Ive just killed my engine in my track bike and wanted something bigger.

Any ideas welcome.

I don't think think any other engine will slot straight in...Someone did squeeze an sv650 lump into a 400 frame, i think it was an fzr but not 100% sure

I've been told but havn't checked that a ZXR750 lump will go in, and if you check the PB forum there was someone with a ZX6R engine in theirs, other than that,if you google 'zxr400' i'm sure theres an article about someone with a 'blade lump in theirs(may even be this site!!) hope this helps a bit.have often thought the zxr400 would be cool with a bigger engine!!

stick a big single cylinder engine in it, or a 600 il4, dont go down the sv route, unless its a 1000cc winks
