Hi Guys,
I'm not sure this post is in the right place so I apologise if it's not.
So anyway, as the topic suggests I've got a couple of questions about my ZXR400 H1.
First of, I can only find K&N filters for L model bikes. Does K&N make filters for H1s? If so does anyone have the part number?
2nd, from what I can tell the H1 is the only model without a slipper clutch (Kawasaki back torque limiter I think?). I'd really like to fit a slipper style clutch to my bike and my question is will the H2 clutch fit my bike? I'm going to assume it won't so my next question is are there any other options out there?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,
-Cront

Re: H1 questions
In nearly tens years of riding ZXRs I've yet to see one of these elusive slipper clutches. I'm sure they are out there but never seen one yet
Given that just about every other engine part is interchangable then I'd imagine the clutch is as well...............question is why would you want to ? little or no gain for considerable expense.
I suspect K&N have stopped making a filter for the H models..............could be wrong

Re: H1 questions
im not sure if they made a kn for the h1/h2? pipercross did i think. Better still, get a kawasaki one from cradley, they perform better and are cheaper.
The 'slipper' clutches from what ive gathered only came on the h1/h2/L sps, and a fair few of the standard L models...seemingly quite random. There may be a way to make them work with thinner steels... but that may cause the wrong kinda slipping...dunno
I looked into it, but ive had a seasons worth of slipping clutches...and im very glad it does'nt slip now!
whack the idle up and that stops it hopping about on heavy braking/downshifts a bit

Re: H1 questions
Thanks for the input guys. I think the I'm probably going to give the clutch a miss. I've had a look around the forums and it seems swaping the front brake master cylinder for a larger one can be fairly straight forward.
Can anyone recommend which a model that has one that will fit straight on an H1 and is fairly easy to come by?
Once again thanks for the help.
