I'm just in the process of cleaning up my rather dirty and corroded calipers and will be renewing the seals as well. Question is does anybody run them without the dust seals and does it make any difference in terms of the free running of the wheel? Also, with the dust seals removed, has anybody had any problems with crap getting into the caliper and buggering up the pistons, etc.
I'm half tempted to leave them out, but I'm not sure if it's worth it if there's horror stories of grit getting into the pistons.
Cheers

Re: Brakes
yes ,run without seals no problem, but only if your racing,ie,your servicing them a lot,its no good if your doing it on a road bike and not checking so often, there just to block dirt build up.
