Was it you selling this bike?

Post by coley »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=013
Bought this at the weekend and for some reason the seller will not sell it to me!! Then he reports me to ebay as a non paying bidder in an attempt to get his ebay fees back. What an idiot has he not heard of putting a reserve price on his auctions.
:ffs Anyone else had similar problems with sellers. cheers

ouch ..

report him to ebay or threaten legal action for breach of contract, you're well within your rights to do so.

looks nice too.

Yes does look okay, pratt ( :wanker ) emailed me after auction said i could have it for £1500, but I'm sure I had just bought it for £420. Think I should just pay for it on paypal then do the legal route. :smt002

if you were of a sneaky disposition you could agree to the 1500, tell him you'll pay in cash, get his address, then turn up with £420 and a lawyer/large mate/rabid dog.

i'm not surprised he wont sell it at that price, i would pay with paypal if you can then let ebay/paypal decide.

If you pay him via paypal your money will simply be locked up (and at serious risk of going walkies!) for a few months while the issue is resolved. I'm afraid that if he doesn't want to sell it you won't get your hands on it.

As the cheeky fucker has marked you as a non paying bidder concentrate your efforts on getting the strike removed. Explain and make it clear to eBay that the seller has increased the price after the auction has closed and is making an unjust non payer claim in order to reclaim their fees. In my experience they do take interest in every case and point you in the right direction. It'll take a while but as there's no money involved it'll make chalking it down to experience a lot easier!

If you follow up the feedback you have left with something like 'ZXR 400 won at £420 - seller demands price of £1500 after auction close' it'll stop someone else making the same mistake.

Also if he messaged you through the eBay messaging system I think eBay would be able to look at any correspondence and remove the strike without any problems!

LOL wouldnt we all want something for nothing ay. im not surprised he dont wana sell it would you! its a tad under what its worth lol. that said he should have put a reserve on but not everyone has a brain lol its more likely he dont know his way round ebay. i doubt they will make him sell it at thet price but its wrong that he has put you down as a non paying bidder, at least you have the knowledge he has lost his list fees.

something ive thought of, what was the next highest bid? Wonderif he may have offered it at a 2nd chance offer. If he didnt then he has blatantly fecked you over. Or someone has offered him something outside ebay at a considerably higher price.
