First Crash :(

Post by T180985 »

Well unfortunatly yesturday i had my first crash and on my lovely zxr400 :( was filtering along a line of stopped/very slowly moving traffic when some kid decided mirrors and indicators are pointless and swung out in front of me knocking me off and the bike on top of me :smt013 luckily i was going v slowly maybe 10mph so just ended up with a v swollen hand where the handle bar landed on it, some bruising and neck pain so just taking some pain killers. he tried to argue he had used his indictors but while i was talking to his parents he admitted he hadnt used them so.... anyway im pretty much ok just a little annouyed that i now need a new helmet and the bike will prob be written off Cést la vie i guess

Yikes! Bummer :smt011

Was filtering up miles of cages yesterday after a fireworks competition and the amount of c#nts who just don't give a flying f#ck about other road users is abysmal :smt013

Certainly heard me coming up behind them (tried the high beam on - that didn't work) when I had the rev's dialed in at 10K :smt003

Like you say though - your doing OK and the bike can always be repaired :smt002

Harsh! At least you're ok though. No one uses mirrors anymore, let alone blind spot checks.
Look at it this way, the dry season is ending now anyway. :smt002
Last winter nearly destroyed my ZXR so see this as a chance to strip her down and get her mint for next summer. I totalled my bike the other week but hopefully the engine is ok so I'm looking forward to stripping it down and restoring it.

...miss riding so badly though. :smt010
