But i was still having a running problem, I had a spare junction box from a uk spec (26021-1090) bike that's got a different part number to the jap spec (26021-1089), after opening the two of them i found there's an extra relay in the jap spec one which is powered by a plain yellow wire which i can only assume is part of the speed restriction so this one is for the bin!!!!!!

Junction box
I've just made a discovery with my Junction box, I have a jap import but i've changed the cdi box for a UK one and i've also changed part of the loom so that i can switch the lights on and off as UK spec.
