you gotta love the comments the little youtubeshits give sometimes. I got one the other day for one of my videos of the ZXR, 'get a proper camera' was the comment, and that was it. I mean, WTF? Does this person actually have life/time to spare to make the most useless comment.

Anyway, now we all know where we been going wrong on the 400 and why its slower against bigger bikes, because we havent changed gear at the right time :smt002

military video comments are good for a laugh. so it seems are bike vs car videos :) i'd love to slap some of the little twats around with the "donttalkbollox" stick at times. but then again i cant bring myself to comment on youtube at all.

lol a twin turbo supra is no way near as fast as a 1000. infact they would get spanked by a 600. supras and stuff like that have to have alot of cash invested. i.e need to be running 800hp+ to beat a top dog 1000. video. of a 650-700hp supra vs a ZX10R and a ZX6R. i want a 10!

a supra can easily achieve 800bhp+ althoe most likely well costly but it can be done ,that one on you tube cant be all that cos them bikes pull away far to easily. plus if an evo can keep up with a 600 how can you think its goin to have a chance against a car with such potential. skylines are another choice.
heres what a quick scoot brought up http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-TOYOTA-SUPRA ... 0242628954

had a quick look on wikipedia which seems to think the standard supra turbo is capable of 180mph+ although its restricted to 155mph in the uk so top end could easily outrun your average 600, 0-60 is around 4.5seconds aswell though so the bike would win to 60 but after that???

The Supra I mentioned easily pulled away from me. This didn't surprise me too much, because the ammount of -ing gas coming out of his exhausts was nearly making me go backwards! :smt003

They are quick, but I still don't think they'd be a match for anything over 750cc.

My mates Dad used to have fun beating sportsbikes - but then in an Ultima GTR, that shouldn't have really surprised too many of them...

thats looking at your standard off the shelf supra aint it. The things some people do to em, you can shave some time off the 0 to 60.
check out the vids i attached
you dont get the big boys supras in this country much cos of the insurance petrol etc, plus i think you need loads of cash or to be really handy with the spanners.

yea just the standard model, just chipping it raising the boost etc will give you a fair bit more power for little cash aswell as removing the top speed limiter

my mate had a mitsi evo 5 and the one day we came across this yam R1 on some twisties, it was the rider that instigated the race, and my mate pissed all over it

not trying to worship cars, but which ever way u cut it, a performance car will always be faster than a bike

i think they proved it on the track with an f1 car and a superbike didnt they?

all down to surface area and putting the power down i guess

i would have thought its easier for a car to produce alot more down force so ultimatley cars will be able to get round corners faster

thats the thing isnt it, bikes do have to slow down a lot for corners in comparison to cars, but then again, we've only got two wheels!

Balls. What's a performance car and what's a bike? You can swing it both ways depending on what you use and how you race them. And whoever loses will always say it was an unfair comparison. Take (say) a WRX Impreza and a litre superbike. Race them round the Nordschleife, oh look, the car's faster. Race them round Mallory Park, oh look the bike's faster.

Take the Honda F1 vs superbike stunt. Why did they race the superbike rather than bringing an RCV211V to the party? The car's a multi-million pound prototype, so why race it against a tarted up road bike?

Anyway, you can't get your knee down in a car. :smt003

i wont be drawn into these arguments, i dont know enough about cars to refute these wild claims of horsepower >> all.

I can tell you that litre sportsbikes will currently show a busa how accelerating is done and that when you get to the twisties you need a special kind of car to keep up with a 600cc sportsbike thats being ridden well. most cars are slower in turns than a bike and i dont think i've seen a boyracer yet who has decided he's going to mod his car to make it handle better! what?! i gotta lose 2torques and 4bhp just to go 2mph faster through a bend?! NOWAI!! because the problem with children and driving cars is that they all like to sit in a car park and talk about horsepower but very few of them like to try and control it with their various appendages, this i notice is true of a lot of bikers too.

There's so much more to driving or riding cars and bikes than most of us will ever learn so i dont understand peoples obsessions with huge numbers. maybe it's because thats the easy way out, the quick way to pretend you've learnt all you can and all thats left is to talk straight line speeds with your mates, increase your ego's while you all carefully avoid the topic of the grand canyon like width of unscrubbed tread on the sides of each others tyre where having too much fun is far too frightening a notion but posing isnt.
