She's going dowwwwwwnnn.....

Yes, me again, sorry :smt005

Right, this time it's water. It's been like this since I've owned the bike and it's driving me a lil nuts everytime it rains. Basically, when I wash my bike or it rains, water gets down the tank cap and sits there. Then when I go to fill up with fuel, all that water gushes in and makes the bike run like crap. I was told the ZXR400 has a pipe at the top to drain water from the cap if something like that accures. Well I've looked over the tank and can't find any but 1 which is right at the back of the tank. Is that it? or is that something else? Water in the carbs is not nice at all as you can't move what so ever. I've also noticed when taking my airbox off, there's water droplets in the gearbox breather pipe that connects to the airbox.

Any ideas?

Big thanks,

Richard

The reason you can find a pipe that drains the reccess in the top of the tank is because it is inside the tank.
Look at the top of the tank in the reccess and you should see a small hole.............that is the top of a pipe that is inside the tank the pipe come out at the bottom of the tank just in front of the seat.

It could be that the hole is blocked...............has the tank been repainted ? use an airline and blow it through from the bottom.
