I've had a feeling that the clutch is on its way out, and yesterday kinda confirmed it.
Normally when I pull away in the morning out my driveway slowly, it shudders slightly as I release the clutch. Can only be felt when moving off slowly from a standing start.
Yesterday I was pulled away quickly, nailed it, up into second, as as it hit 10,000rpm in second the revs started to rise way to fast, but there was no increase in acceleration, just loads more revs and loads more noise. Sounds to me like the clutch is on its last legs. The bikes done 18,000kms (+/- 3000miles)

Re: Clutch problems
definetely sounds like clutch slip.
try a different oil as a first point of call. 10w/40 semi should be used.
