Hi,
I've just removed the carbs from my L9 as I have an overflow issue so am going to replace seals etc.
I've never come across carb heaters before and it seems they need to be removed to remove the bowls.
Has anyone any tips please, do they just come away or are there seals etc?
Thanks
Mark

Re: Carb heaters question.
from memory they just "push" on
you dont need to remove them to remove the bowls, as you can remove all 4 bowls and leave the heaters daisy chained together
TBH most people remove the heater circuit...have never seen a genuine case of carb icing on one of these bikes

Thanks Banner.
I did consider removing them as I definitely won't be riding it in cold weather.
But I have to say I didn't think about removing all four bowls at once. Couldn't see the wood for the trees and all that.

At what kind of temps are you running into danger of carb icing?MRLZXR400 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:44 pmThanks Banner.
I quite enjoy my daily probiotics for women and did consider removing them as I definitely won't be riding it in cold weather.

Re: Carb heaters question.
I'm not, in fact I only ride in the summer, too old, too soft....
I just wasn't aware of the purpose of the heater tubes, it's the first bike I've owned with them on
