You need to own a Sherman tank, and be a hero to own these, and be on terms with Kellyross46 wrote:I think it must be the pilots cap and goggles! Where can I get some

Does the low seat height reflect the low intelligence? Easier to get an asshole onto.

Reggie ..........one of the fine motorcycle sales guys up in Hursts was once the salesman in Andrews near Smithfield market................. told me about a 17 year old coming in and buying a brand new RD250 air cooled last of the air cooled 250 two strokes. The guy was a complete novice...................Reggie watched out the window as the guy tried to ride off.....................30 minutes later he was still there. Reggie went outside showed him a few basics and after a few more efforts the guy wobbled off down the street.....................Reggie never saw him or the bike again.

Guy down the street here has three of 'em, all mint, one blue, one purple and the classic Kenny R yellow, they run like a dream.cargo wrote: brand new RD250 air cooled last of the air cooled 250 two strokes.
I love the smell of two stroke in the morning, eh.

Re: Possible new car laws?
never had one myself but RD250 was the learner bike of choice for many and RD400 was the bike of choice once you passed your text.
I was a KH 250 owner had two of them. 3 cylinders one to match each brain cell and moved onto a Z650 after my test

Would love to have a go on an rd250, but wouldn't want to own one... They've got bicycle tyres and forks! Rd350 ypvs LC with an rgv250 banana swingarm, forks, wheels, brakes and single seat rs250 tugs seat unit, much more appealing

Re: Possible new car laws?
We all had AR80s and a couple of 125 Gammas, one mate was on a 125 vespa, how we would laugh, one day we're all sitting looking mean, and vespa mate turns up on a skoal bandit 250 gamma, I'd never felt so sick.
Another mate rode a power valve, sometimes on two wheels, I'd still buy one now, although in fairness the ZXR kind of has the same soul, just two more strokes.

Re: Possible new car laws?
I raced an RGV250 at the MGP..................everyone laughed at us said it could not be done................
We qualified just and finished the race....................the story made it into one of the magazines. Practical Sportsbikes I think
The guy that owned it presented me with an engraved piston from the bike.................it was cracked...............a few more yards maybe and it would have stopped.
Finished the race with the front brake lever and master cylinder hanging by the brake pipe.................no front brake for the final 3 miles.

Fancy another magazine article? When I rebuild the 80, rather than respray it lime green, maybe get her done yellow.
Reckon you could forget the 100mph laps though, although I did rejet it.
