Ive done a few long-ish trips recently and on the long-and-straight carriageways seem to end up with my nuts squashed against the tank and sore wrists as I assume thats where im resting my weight.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there an 'idiots' guide somewhere? (I came across http://www.newenglandriders.org/Riding% ... 20Tips.htm which was very helpful by the way)
Ive tried moving my feet back on the pegs to my toes which helps shift my body back a bit, and gripping the tank with my thighs takes the weight off my wrists, but at the moment im not sure which of all these practises (if any) are 'correct'?

Re: Riding comfort on the zxr
I had to do my first longish trip a couple of months ago, things I found helped was moving my feet back, pushing my butt back and resting my left arm on the tank for motorways and bypasses, takes alot of the strain off

Would adjusting the ride height on the rear damper to reduce the seats 'steepness'
a) Make a difference?
b) Be a really bad idea?

would make a difference by as you said, not putting as much weight over the front end but will make the handling slower, I personally like it low as I think its more stable
