zxr400L1 rear shock

Hey guys

It looks like my rear shock is busted and I was looking to get a new one, but I'm not sure which zxr400 rear shocks would fit into my 1991 L1 model.

Naturally the L1 shock would fit, but what about the L2, L3 etc? I've seen a nice rear shock from a 1996 zxr400 but I'm not sure if it would slot into my bike without complications?

As far as i know all L model shocks will fit.

wait for confirmation of this though.
