Hello everybody, I have just bought myself a 1989 ZXR400 h2, which is a bit of a barn find.

My plan is to get it up and running smoothly and then have it as a track bike.

At the moment All i have done is to clean the carbs and give it a try, i was really surprised when it fired up (not bad, to say its not been started for between 5 and 10years)

So now I know it still works I'm going to strip it down in sections and get everything else working as well. Before getting it tuned.
Then fun time!!

This is my first attempt at anything like this so it could take a while, however I would like to have it ready for its first outing by may!! Finger crossed.

I will keep posting my progress and pictures.

Thanks,

Yes, just heat proof can primer and paint spray. Put them in my home oven at 70 degrees
