Just as I was about to remove the clutch cover , delivery man brought me these - been waiting for a set to come up for near on a year now !

:excited

That will stop my legs getting cooked come summer :

While i was back at the flat I hunted out the clutch to discover the steels in it are well blue ! and the other engines I haven't opened that far. So buttoned up the bike again and just went up and ordered new ones, they'll arrive Friday afternoon so looks like Saturday morning is booked :smt002

As of today that's the bike running a F3 Racing CDI :excited

Yesterday I started off with stripping the panels off and hauling the loom out.
(Also took the opportunity to give all those nook & crannies a dusting )

P1190457.jpg
Got the SP loom out and fed it through up to the battery and fuse box then fed it round to the front of bike and started hooking parts up.

About half way through the process it became apparent I was going to have to start making extensions for some items , that then turned into no pilot light and I think there was a block connector wrong too - so it came off again ! :smt012

So back to plan A and make a patch lead for the CDI instead.

Started last night with the wiring diagrams and rapidly burst my head in no time at all so opted to wait until morning feeling fresh again.

Got the diagrams out , pulled out a F3 loom and started to draw up what went where and how to connect up to the new block connectors - that then progressed into getting the SP loom out too and finally between the two looms and the diagrams I sussed out what to do. :smt001
P1190460.jpg
Plugged it in an nothing :smt009 Well at least nothing went on fire :smt005

Back to flat look at diagrams and scratch the bonce :smt017

Get the SP loom out again, mmmmmm maybe that's the problem geek add a wire and double up with an Earth and back out I go.

Plug it in , press the button and vroom - no choke and off it went :excited Check lights etc... everything working fine.

Test ride :excited

Have to add I also fitted the SP rotor/pulsar too - with out it you've no chance of this working.

Spoke with the tuners today and they recommended Dynamic balancing the crank for street use :smt004
