Exhaust Systems

Current exhaust is a Scorpion full system and I'm trying to find out if they're any good. I bought the bike with it on and have never dyno'd it to find out what it was doing before I stripped it. I'm now rebuilding the bike and intend to get it dyno'd but have no idea whether or not I'm wasting my time and should just go for a Beet or another system of similar repute.

Does anybody have any facts and figures on Scorpoin systems to tell me whether they're good or bad? Engine has had the head skimmed and been ported plus has an SP inlet cam.

Cheers

Ive heard they are no better flow than a standard system.... but i have never tried one. The choice seems to be beet/mhp and if you cant get them then modded micron.

with a standard airbox i had 62hp with a similar engine with beet pipework, so if you get around that id say it may be worth going with the scorpion until a beet/mhp comes up for sale

I had one on a CBR400 and it was decent got about 63hp with a flowed head and standard everything else.

I'll buy it off you if you don't want it!

I have managed to get a comfortable 72BHP with the scorpion system, ramair and head work. Good torque curve too.

Thats on the way to what we are getting with the beet now, so if thats been read on a dynopro id give the scorpion a go.
Seems when you get into the 70's power wise, everything costs a fortune to get them last few horses

Thanks guys, I guess it's a case of suck it and see, but at least nobody's saying their a pile of sh1t.

I'm a bit off finishing it yet, but will let you know how I get on and any comparisons I can get (depends on whether or not I can borrow any other systems!).

Cheers
