Weight

After having my bike completely rebuilt and lightened the other year i decided to weigh it and see how much id saved.........only thing is i cant remember what the minimum weight is for F400 (poss 145kgs) and whats the standard weight of a ZXR400 (L)....

I know the adverts said so - but a standard road going zxr400 never weighs 160kg in a million years

i was thinking that could be a dry weight. i thought more 175 or 180 kgs, if it is 180 kgs, ive lost 34 kgs off mine

I put a scales under my front tire and anothe under my back tire,it was full with oil and water ,the total weight we got was 145 kg.
My zxr has been on a diet for 4 years now..lots of ti. and carbon fibre.

mine hasnt got any carbon and only a titanium exhaust and standard wheels....i know i could get it to 135 kgs but that would be illegal

illegal....that doesnt matter...
What matters is.....the bike is as lite as possible while being relitvly safe...
I through out my rear brake disc ,caliper,master cly,.. etc..
I sold it to a scrap metal dealer
now some folks may not agree with that ... but its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other...
my point is it doesnt matter wheather its ilegal or not.
If we all obeyed the rules ,what kind of a world would we be living in??

you don't race your bike then? if you do how do you get away without a rear brake?
And to say illegal doesn't matter what a load of bollox, and relatively safe?????
