Learn it and understand it and know where you are going dont push too hard too early.

Obey the flags

Dont argue with the scruts

Listen to what old hands tell you

Stay away from Manx girls.................they will chew you up and spit you out

Lay off the beer.............you will be tested

Eat properly dont live on fast food and pizza

Stay hydrated have a drink before praccy/races get a drink at your pitstop

Dont spend more than 10 minutes in the shower.............Everyone will know what your doing :wanker

Check the bike everyday properly.............your life depends on it.

Watch out for the sun glare during praccy............it is blinding

Be aware of the wind strength and direction...............

On the Mountain the edges of the road are the white lines.....................beyond is a ditch dont get in there.

Watch for markers they can be useful..........mostly yellow paint

Be polite and friendly with the girls in the office............they are there to help you

Ask in the race office about internet access......................it's free

Come and find me in the paddock I dont bite and can make tea/coffee

Dont get caught by the Manx coppers doing something naughty

Be on time for briefings

Be on time for newcomers bus

Be on time for scruts

Sign on is a chore ............. relax be patient.

Make sure your kit.............leathers gloves boots etc are in good nick they will be examined..........

If your in the campsite be prepared for some bad weather nail everything down as if a hurrance was about to hit.............believe me it will

most of all have fun............................
