Engine refresh

I'm treating my engine to a refresh for next year, so...
new pistons/rings
con rod bearings/nuts/bolts
crankshaft bearings
camchain

I believe the engine is an H model, on stripping found the 1107 thinner webbed rods.
I intend to rebuild with 1208 rods I have on a spare crank, and the polished H crank from my orginal race engine.

I obviously have a crankcase number, but for piece of mind are all these parts identical between H and L models especially the pistons?
The engine I'm rebuilding came with the low compression pistons with the rectangle crown rather than the 4 valve cut outs, I ran the engine wit some spare pistons I had laying around but don't want to buy new low compression pistons. Is there a particular model to avoid or was this from an import?

Cheers,
Wes

As far as I am aware apart from clutch mods all engines are the same. More power was gained from different cams and crank timing so everything is good to swap over.

Only standard pistons are available from Kwak - there are forged pistons available and were on EBay at one point.

MM!

PS. I will be putting a SP balanced crank into H2 motor with F3 cams and SP block so mixing it up too!

There are some subtle differences around the detent spring & shift star, you cannot transfer the mechanism from an L into H cases & vice versa.
