Start in the middle clip. But I don't use them. Also depends on how modified the exhaust & intake systems are. Best bet is to get the bike on a rolling road.

the stage 7 needles are exactly the same as stage 1 needles. code DNO331
the only difference is dynojet state stage 1 is clip position 2 for stage 1 and clip position 4 for stage 7. Thats the notches down from the top (leanest)

Im sure dynojet know there stuff confuddled , but regardless of engine tune, that will be far far to rich i think :smt002
they recommend a starting point of 128 mains for the 'stage 7' too!!

mix screw wont affect anything really mate. Just set it where it wants to be. Makes sure the carb rubbers are good, start at 1 full turn out, then rev the thing and richen the screws(anticlockwise) until it settles to idle fast, thats it.. its not gonna spend much time down them part of the revs after all :smt002

We tested a few different needles last year back to back. zxr's tend to have a rich mid as standard, if you can dial this out with anything but custom needles you will do well

I found using L1 needles to be the best (N77R ) using a kit airbox & vel stacks. With the standard airbox I have heard early R1 needles work but I am not sure of the model number or needle designation.

Also in the Stage 7 kit there is a bung to block the main air circuit.
