So far I've done everything but change the tyres!! I went for 3rd option, I would take it to a garage if i was totally stumped!! Touch wood that hasn't happened yet!!

3rd one, do most service/repairs myself, only ever taken bikes back to garage if under warranty (not had one from dealer in a while) I did start out as a car mechanic so it helps, but if you can read a manual and use a torque wrench most repairs/servicing are easy to do

3rd one.
I do all the oil changes, valve clearances etc myself, and if theres summat i cant do i just get my dad to have a look
Garages rip ur arms and legs off so its pointless!

Apart from the Honing ( cheers zimm ) and MOT and tyres i do everything myself. from light bulbs to complete nut and bolt strip downs. too tight to pay some spanner monkey to f*** my bike up when i can do it for free

Exactly mate
Plus theres nothing better than throwing spanners round the garage like a tornado when u've fecked a job up and spend 4 hours trying to fix the problem that only took 5 minutes to do in the first place :p
