Gravity Problems

Took the bike for a spin the other night and noticed something odd. When the bike goes up hill it bogs down and will only rev to 1k but when it goes down hill it rev's by it's self to 13-14k?

Could this be a float bowl problem as this is all I can think is moving?. I cleaned the bowl filter's when I was re-building the bike could I have up-set the needle's?

It revs to 1K ?? :smt017

The tickover must be 1250rpm ish. So it revs to below tickover ? :pmsl

Do you mean 10K...?

Is it restricted to 33bhp?

you can check the float levels by putting a long, clear piece of pipe on the carb drain outlets and opening the drain screw. Then route the pipe to just beside the RHS of the carbs and theres a line marking on there telling you where the fuel should be.

Is the idle speed really that high?

I've been setting mine to about 850ish, it's no wonder it feels pretty lumpy at that.

tickover should be at 1250rpm. Probably find your getting quitre a bit of engine braking too id imagine lol Might be why you have a problem starting it vard?
