New here Q. about bike not start when hot

Hi all i have just got zxr400 H2 1990 runs and starts well warm up and still starts good but today i went out for a ride and it cut out, and turned over and over and did not start untill i bump started it, so i took carbs off {no probs all clean} i took the plugs out {checked gaps all ok 7.5ish} is this a normall problem with the zxr400
