well lads, picked up a h1 which was siting up for a long time, where do i start......

the last three times ive went to the bike (after fully charging a good battery) , it starts and eventually i can get it to idle without the choke , but after a few mins or a very brief spin down the road, it cuts out all on its own and will not start again, it will just crank for ages untill it backfires, (neighbours dont like me much anymore )

so far i have put fresh fuel in it and cleaned the carbs

at the moment there is no air filter in it, so i have orderd new air/oil/fuel filters and plugs.

got told i may need to clean the tank out better so ill have to do that again,

any help much appreciated

i know the carbs could do with balancing etc , but i imagine it should still start if they are off!?!?

first thing i would do is put new plugs in, i'll be surprised if this doesn't sort it.
