Redex causing issues ??? Or just a coincidence ???

Saw Redex reduced in Tescos, so figured would treat my bike to some !
But since it has gone in there (on my second tank now) it seems to have started to make the bike act up.
I gave it all a full service about 300 miles ago, has been riding with no issues. I got rid of the hunting issue i was having, by silicon sealing up the rubbers between the carbs + engine.
Now that has come back, and there is also a new rattle / clicking kind of a noise as I accelerate - its most noticeable under 6K, but could well still be there after, but I cant hear it due to engine noise. It only happens when I open the throttle, so cant be anything loose / wheel realted.
I also seem to be having issues getting it going - nothing major, but have to hold ignition down for a few more turns now, and last few days have started riding it off of the works car park, and by the time I get to the edge ready to pull out onto the road the engine will cut out. i then have to give it a good whack of choke to get it gonig again.
Any thoughts ??? Could it be due to the redex, or is it just a coincidence ???

i think so:
1/2 bottle per 50 lites, so a sixth a time for the ZXR, as its a 16 litre tank !

what ml bottle was it?
tbh can't see it being the redex, i've run bikes on pure Redex b4 with no probs, just a bit of smoke

what else could it be then ? as i said this idle issue / cutting out and clicking / rattling during acceleration all seemed to start at the same time !
could it be possible that the redex has loosened something nasty off and it has got caught in the fuel pipe ?

What did you use to sort the hunting issue? And what did you do for the service?

used high temp silicon sealer for the hunting issue - did the job , or at least has done for last 300 miles.
service was fork oil change, bearing check / regrease, complete coolant and oil drain / change, didnt do the plugs as they looked to be in good condition still

wonder if it could be a sticking valve?

rattling / clicking does not appear under engine breaking - or when the cluth is pulled in and the throttle opened up. only when the bike is actually in gear and moving does the rattling start

Check the sealant to make double sure its not that thats causing the hunting again. And put in some regular petrol without the Redex too, see what happens.
How many miles has the bike covered? And where is the clicking noise coming from? Could be the cam chain tensioner on its way out. A good way to check is to take the pickup coil cover off on the right hand side, and see how far up the tensioner piston is, get a piccy so we can see.
A carb balance might be in order, it should help with the starting issue. All in all you might have just got some crappy fuel in.

bikes done 42000 but is an import that has a mileage widget on it, so should be a fair bit less than that ! the clicking sound seems to be coming from the front end - will have a look see at what you suggested (when I found out what / where it is with the manual) and post pics
thanks guys

when you say rattling...its not pinging is it. As some additives have ester oils etc in them and as you know oil encourages pinging. does it do it more under load than not. I have seen additives cause pinging in car engines before. Personally I don't use additives in 4 strokes. cheers
