As it says, starter won't do anything from the start button, spins OK when fed direct feed.

Fuses OK.

Struggling with only 2 hands to check continiuity when button pushed as wife is out!

Any thoughts appreciated.

sounds like the switch, check for power before the switch and at the after the switch with the button pressed, also have u checked your kill switch is on the on posistion lol

Side stand switch ?

Or possibly neutral light connection ?

id go for side stand or clutch switch too.

could be a dirty contact on the starter switch, which is the problem i had a while ago, its all dissasembles for cleaning, about a half hour job.

i might be wrong but i though the side stand switch doesnt stop thge engine from turning over or starting, it just makes the bike cut out as soon as its in gear with the stand down

true i was just thinking it may be in gear. my bet is the clutch switch. mine went and was a pain. undo the plug on the back of the switch and stick a piece of wire in the connector to bridge the contacts then see it it turns over.
