Bike cutting out

Hi guys bike has recently started playing up, it idles fine and starts up as normal and everything is ok untill i click the bike into gear. Sometimes the bike will cut out as soon as i put it into gear and sometimes it will cut out once i have pulled off and the clutch is let go, please help guys.

could be a dirty clutch switch, sidestand switch or neutral wire has come loose? check those first mate.

Id defo go with the side stand switch, mine was doing it the other week but wasnt cutting out till the clutch was almost all the way out. Get the switch off, and give a good clean with degreaser and pack the rubber seal wth grease. Should sort it :)

i could possibly do with a side stand switch as i took of down the road the other day with me stand down "oops" could of been nasty

thanks for the help guys, just checking but is it the little green wire near the stand with the black connector?

There should only be one wire down there, so I'd say yes! Chances are you'll need a hand to unbolt the switch because you'll need to do it with the sidestand up - unless you're using a paddock stand, of course.

The Lazy Barsket Method of drowning the fkr in WD40 then putting the stand up and downa load of times will often cure it, too without having to unbolt anything! :smt002
