checked and tested:

fuel pump is pumping fuel
spark on every cylinder
fuel at all 4 carbs
seems to be loads of compression.

so been fiddlign all day today

ended up taking carbs off (bike has been stoond over a year )
lots of brown sediment in the carb bowlsso cleand it all out(as much as i could) and slaped em back on and still just cought cought bang ...:(

result one unhappy 18 year old lol

any ideas?? thing to check ?

im away as of 3 am tonight till friday as i work away in the week.

all advice welcome

also i need 2 bits :(

a bracket that the seat sits on and one of the screwy thing that holds teh carb to the manifold

carbs come off fairly easy mate. just undo the screw fasteners on the carb inlet rubbers, then they should just ease out with a bit of wigglin.
First off, make sure the ht leads are goin to the right plugs. drain them float bowls out and yr tank if the petrol is a couple of months old (mine wont fire up with the toad left in the tank from last season).

then im guessing, the carbs just need a really thorough clean, float bowls maybe stickin?

i mean the clamps that hold then the screws are so awkward to get at.

she's got fresh juice in her today.

flats seem to be ok .

im going to buy some proper carb cleaner and do a proper job next weekend

and ht leads

left pack cylinder 2&3
right pack 1&4 correct ?

Hows the battery? If its been stood a while it might be shot, try jumping off a car battery give some extra juice. Might wanna try some proper carb cleaner to get the carbs properly clean too.

If you get it running, bung a shot of redex in the tank and run that hrough, that should get your carbs properly sorted then!

the only way you will do it is remove the ignition cover and cam cover and check by the manual that all marks line up as they should, check with the previous owner if it ran after the shop set it up.!

How much compression? I had a similar problem with my old RS125 - it wouldn't start, it's just crank over and over, occasionally coughing or popping through the exhaust. - the compression was low but apparently within operating limits. After trying everything I could, I took the barrel off and found the piston was slightly cracked. After replacing the piston/rings/gaskets, it fired up first time.

I'm not saying this is what's wrong with your bike. But sometimes you miss something and don't think to go back and check it. I mean if you have Fuel - Spark - Compression, then surely it should start? The only other thing I can think of is timing?

Have the carbs been played with?
