when it cuts out is it a clean cut or it is a stuttering one like fuel starvation?

if it was only slightly out it would start but it would most likely be lumpy from the offset.
clean cut does sound electrical....does it start again ok?

Yes its starts again strait away and ticks over perfect. even revs up to 4000 rpm and sound really smoot.
