Hot starting problems

Bike struggles to start when hot, it'll fire and then refuse to rev above 2k even with the throttle held openned wide then will revs will pick up and be fine. It also occassionally won't rev out from low revs when hot i.e. pull away at about 4k and as soon as clutch released it'll die, so clutch in, revs to 6k and pull away.

Or when going to a junction with clutch in it'll cut out when it goes below ~4k. It seems to worsen the more slowly and sedate I ride i.e. through town traffic and the faster I go and harder I rev the problem seems to fade away? It doesn't happen all the time through, its an intermittent fault and the bike is perfect up high in the rev range.

I'm thinking fuelling (worn carb internals) or air leak currently: Carbs have been stripped, cleaned, rebuilt by myself and are on stock jetting 32mm's with carb heaters. Might try a spare set of carbs I've got and seal up all connections from airbox to engine but whilst I've got it apart it'd be nice to check other things if people have any other suggestions??

Ta,
Jack :)

might just be worth pulling the plugs out and having a look at them, they can tell you alot about how the engine is running and give them a good clean , check air and fuel filters are clear and ye check for air leaks inlet rubbers and airbox to carbs are common places.
might be worth checking the float heights if you have the carbs off and apart.always worth giving them a balance aswell.
lots of things can cause problems ...........this is why im stuggling getting mine setup as well.
hope it helps

Fuel Filter and Air Filter were cleaned before I put the motor in the bike, the float heights were checked and I tested that they sealed and openned correctly. Will go right through them again and balance them, then seal everything off and see where I'm at then. Will report progress tomorrow :smt003
