Hey people,

I was just wondering been a bit stupid and have too much oil in the bike! What problems would this cause when running the engine, would the bike just cut out after a while?

I know someone who purposely filled with too much oil because they wheelied thier bike alot, it used to smoke a bit but i think the other issue is that you can blow gaskets with filling too much?

You can potentially blow some of the oil seals in the engine, plusdepending how higha level we are talking, most crankshafts tend to work by splash lubrication. If the crank is literally swimming in the oil then you won't get as much splash and would also increase the drag.
