oil on sparks...

i took off my air box today for the first time, to balance my carbs
(which i didn't do because i got confused but that's for another time)
and i noticed moisture around the top of my spark wire thingys (technical), when i pulled the ht cable for cylinder 3 up, i noticed there was oil all down the plastic rod thing (technical term)
best way to fix this is?
i presume its just a case of the spark sitting wrong?
so if i take it out, clean it up and put it bac, run it and it happens again then the threads have gone yes?
if they have how do i fix that?

If I have understoood correctly, I assume u mean there's oil in the spark plug wells which has gotten on the plug caps?

Fortunately it doesn't mean the threads for the plugs are ruined. Its the seals that sit in between the rocker cover and the top of tye plug well. There's another seal further down as the plug wells pull out. Its more than likely one or both of those seals have gone. If there's also oil down the front of the engine underneath the headers this is also a symptom.

What you have there is a leaky laughing half shaft seal you need to remove the giggle pin and pull the seal off and replace it. Refit the giggle pin and make sure it lines up with the shanklin bentley lever and the smileometer
