Hey guys, there was a topic floating about the some oil drain holes on the engine! Just to clear this up for myself as I was not too sure about where they definitely were.

Are they the holes under the exhaust ports below:

If not what are they and what are the things in the middle on the 2nd pic???

yes thats the little drain holes stricly speaking they are there to drain water or any liquid that manages to get into the spark plug recess.

When you see oil from the drain hole is means that one of the seals on that spark plug reccess is leaking.

Sometime oil coming from the drain holes can be MISTAKEN for a blown head gasket.....................

Cool nice one well the last time I had checked the engine top end the seals probably needed doing but money was scares at the time! That would probably be the reason why there is a bit of oil residue in the spark plugs and sockets???

I bought a set of top and bottom seal for the plug recesses,

Bottom set - 92055 1403 - £1.23 each, £4.92 for the set.

+VAT on those too.
