Hi there, I've recently purcahsed a 1989 J1 and am not sure if it has the original exhaust. The downpipe seems to have the "seam" like an original but has a slip on fitmnet and not the usual 3 bolt. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, it's a long term plan to restore the bike to original if possible. Thanks, Matt.

The original is a 3bolt fitting.
You either have aftermarket downpipes or the 3bolt mounting has been cut off.

4-1 system like mine is likely to be a BEET or MHP and a 52mm bore(or there abouts) - they seem to be the only ones I've come across in the UK - I have a very knackered and old BEET system that looks like its beyond repair!
If the pipe diameter is bigger then they are most definitely Micron
Delvik and Sandy pipes use a bolt on - again that's what I've seem to have come across
Anything that's 4-2-1 is RPM I believe but I've not seen any 4-2-1 systems before

my sandy pipes are slip-ons, with a bolt-on adaptor, and they are 4-2-1.

The OEM is also 4-2-1 by way of a collector box before the link pipe.
