Hi guys,

I just picked up my ZXR 400 last night, only passed my test last friday, got one off of ebay, and had the drive from hell home on it tonight (awful weather - and i got pulled by the cops for not having insurance, even though I do!)

Main think i noticed is that the fuel guage doesnt work! does anyone have any idea as to how to get it fixed?

The needle did not move at all when i filled it up + when I turned the lights on only the speedo and revometer had a back light

Any ideas / tips would be much appreciated

The fuel sensor doesn't work because its a temperature sensor mate!

heheheh, as scott said. The ZXR doesnt have a fuel gauge, so youll need to get an idea of how many miles you can do before you get to reserve.

oh no not another "how many miles on a full tank" thread? 100-120 ish.

ok hands up - grade a dick, its my first "big bike" and i assumed that the sensor was for the fuel, as that is where it was placed on my other bike !

so i just need to set the milomete to keep tabs on the fuel then !
