which junction box

Hi, I am new to this so any help would be great, I have recently bought myself a J plate 92 zxr 400, been out a few times then started having problems, she wont start now, there is a buzzing noise coming from the junction box, the problem i have is there is no part no on the box, i have been on ebay and found 2 but they have different part nos, can anyone tell me which one i need, thank sam

Many thanks, My friends mate has given her the once over, changed the relays but kept blowing them, battery voltage doesnt drop at all when you try starting her, all the lights go dim, being a girlie i dont know much about the mechanical side of it unfortunately, i just thought i give changing the juction box a go as thats where the noise is coming from, but will keep an i on that thread, thanks again.

would have thought you would be ok, you only have to watch them if they are imports, restricted or different model eg H model wont fit on L model.

i would have thought it will be ok, like i said for that cash its worth trying, you will alwways be able to sell it on.

Help! my junction box arrived in the post this morning, been out diconnected the old one fitted the new one, turn on ingnition, no ignition lights, disconnect and turn ignition on i get ignition lights, put the old one back in, no ignition lights, so i only get lights when junction box is disconnected, checked all the fuses, any ideas as to what the problem is. thanks sam

are the connections to the junction box corroded?

ive just been back out, disconnected it again, lights on, put smallest of connector blocks in, light saty on, put bigger connection block in, lights go off, so it must be something to do with that block, all looks clean inside!

mmmm but where does the big connector lead to then, need to check your wiring.i'm sure someone said on another thread i posted earlier about a wire breaking.

Sounds like there could be a short circuit somewhere...? Couldn't tell ya where though :smt017
