I'm building the bike back up for this nice weather we're having, thought I had all the connections in place but the 30A fuse blew in the starter relay whin i connected the battery. Then I realised this connection was unplugged, but can't find where it goes.

Just had a look at the pics i took of mine while i was rebuilding it and i think that connects to the fuel pump.

I've already got one connected to the fuel pump (same one but black)
For some reason, when I take out the regulater/rectifier no fuses blow and the light all light up as useual, are these prone to breaking? itwas working before I took it off.

Silly boy should have labelled it all up!

OK, had another look, theres a wire that comes from the right hand side of the engine underneath where the cam chain is located. Theres a wire which come out from there, see if its that.

I know the ZXR inside and out mate

Kinda obvious by the rear frame brace, where the shock mounts. also the two bolts where the fuel pump mounts, could tell that a mile off where it was

First off i'd like to say i'm an idiot

Had the battery round the wrong way, which is why I was blowing fuses! Still havent found where that connection goes, you could well be right about it being something to do with brakes, as the bike ran fine without it but I forgot to check brake light.

now i dont like to laugh at simple mistakes but pmsl. love that. battery wrong way round. thats a first for me. but we live and learn mate. youd be surprised how many probs are just real simple oversights. i was tired doin the head on my old cb750 and was trying to put valve stem seals the wrong side. felt a right twat in the morn when i realised what i did.

I know it's the simple ones that always catch you out, the thing is, all the lights lit up so didn't bother to check. oh well, a few fuses later it's all good lol

simple mistakes are the biggest problems too lol
I connected the pick up and capacitor charge coils the wrong way on my old rs. It was dusk, one is green the other is black. I pulled my hair out to workout why it wouldn't rev past 4000rpm

Found it in the end, it was the brake switch. Reason I couldn'd find it was I changed rearsets and forgot to put it on
