Main Beam and indicator problem

The problem i am having is that the main beam and indicators have stopped working. the dip light works on the headlight and the side light, but no main beam and this is a bit of a pig because of the nice weather and m.o.t. coming up.
When i press the pass switch to activate the main beam i hear a relay working but no light and if i press the indicators to either side i hear and see nothin.
i was wondering if it could be both the relays are gone?
Please help

hiya and welcome to the forum :)

Have you checked the fuses? I think the indicators and main beam lights are wired into the same circuit. But are seperate from dipped beam.

p.s. we have manuals here for your reference :)

Ye have checked the fuses and the blubs and their all working fine. i was thinking another option from the relays could be the actual fuse box it's self but also noticed that the indictors dont run off the fuses, well it doesnt say it does on the fuses box any way. it's an L reg (1994) is thas any help.

Any idea how much the two relays would cost?

No idea how much they are new, not something you see on ebay very often either. Are all the connector blocks secure, and are the contacts clean too?

Could be a faulty fusebox, 1 or 2 members here have had electrical probs, replaced the fuse bix and its sorted things out.

ye all the connectors seem to be clean and ok. think i will have to go down the road of a fuse box. do you no of any way of testing the fuse box?

Thats what we are here for mate, no problem at all :smt003

That little sign means infinity, or open circuit in electrical terms. Im not sure what your meter will say when you check for an open circuit it usuaully deends on the make. But look in the user manual for the meter and it will probably tell you.

that is correct, i know some display a 1 thats flashes, but it will depend if you have a digital meter. If you have an analogue the needle wont even move.
