speedo light not working

hey people,my speedo light is playing up.sometimes it works sometimes it does not
obviously its a dodgy wire somewhere,has anybody else had this problem and sorted it?

might be the bulb going??

The bulb has 2 tiny wires attached to it and folded round the end of the glass bit. If these have corroded or broke the contact may be dodgy. I had to take my nose cone off to get to the back of the speedo to change my bulb. Pain in the butt but the bulbs are only about £1.
They are the same type of bulb as the 92069 in this microfiche (but not excactly the same, the 92069's are too big!!) You can get the right size ones from any motorist shop.
If the metal strips still have good contact then it could be a dodgy wire somewhere....if it is GOOD LUCK!!!! 9 times out of 10 it's a bar steward to find!

They are also a bugger to get in one you have taken them out, usea bit of ruber grease to get em back in easliy
Take em all out and see which one isnt lit or flickers when you move it about.
