i had loads of light problems recently on mine, similar symptoms and it took me ages to find out what it was, turned out the earth strap from the negative on the battery had corroded so i would start there.

My rear tail unit ive found a wire has ripped, so swaped tail units over back to standard see if that helps tonight. Il try and repair the broken unit today.

Could this be it? I dont think it is, but soon find out. Cant find the earth and i know it should be a neutral wire off battery to frame, but cant find it anywhere, which maybe the problem i surpose.lol Anyone know where the earth goes from too(presume frame to battery), and where it locates onto frame?

My battery only has 1 wire coming from negative and only 1 from positive, is this right?? I know sounds a werid question but thourght the earth would just be a wire bolted to negative then bolted to frame, is this not the case?

i think the earth goes from the battery to the engine by the starter motor doesn't it?
