Now my brake lights are acting up

The rear works but only when I've compressed the break quite far so I may adjust this bit the front doesn't make it come on at all
Where can I locate the front brake light switch I can't find anything to help or show me online

Cheers but I've checked them both
It mentions rear switch adjustment but unless my eyes deceive me there's nothing there about the front switch

Theres no adjustment for the front. Its simply a micro switch tucked underneath the lever pivot thats operated when you pull the brakes.

I dont think you can dismantle them so may need to source a 2nd hand replacement or buy new.

jake, do you own a multimeter?

if you are doing electrics they are invaluable, and as your electrical problems seem to be escalating its probably money well spent. buy a Fluke one off ebay, i think its a model 101, cheap and really good quality, has a continuity buzzer for checking things like flow through a switch and for line breaks, as well as AC and DC volt meters.

it could be that your front brake switch has gone faulty - you can test this by bridging the two connectors with a bit of wire, if your brake lights come on its a faulty switch, if not its faulty wiring.

@rob, the switch is glued together, but ebay usually has spare switches, i had some but binned them as they failed to sell last time and i dont have the room for too many spares.

I stripped and cleaned the micro switch on the front break.
Fiddly, but do-able.
Be gentle with it.
