Hey everyone

Please could someone advise me of my problem,my neutral light wont come on hence only start with clutch in,i have replaced the switch cleaned the wire changed the bulb and stand switch and clutch/start switch works,looked at wiring diagram where light green wire goes and it goes into the junction box where there is a starter relay built into that if im right could this be the last place to look befor i shell out more money or is there a way i can bypass it

as the post goes,my neutral light on my dash isn't on, so i checked the following,Bulb,changed neutral switch,traced wires back to junction box seem ok,i looked in the online wiring manual and it states the Light green wire goes to junction box and thought maybe that's the fault but aint a motorbike mechanic,also after bike has been started with clutch in and stand is up it will allow the bike to carrying on running but wont do this with the stand down and clutch out,does this help better

Now that i have sorted that out...

The engine wont run if the bike is in any gear with the side stand down. Its a safety feature, don't worry about it.

Can you click through the gears?
If you have a paddock stand, get the back wheel off the ground and test it.

I'm thinking buggered selector forks at the moment.

i can click through all the gears fine and put into neutral with clutch out and stand up, just no light comes on

I know you said you have checked the bulb, but have you tried a new one?

yes tried a new one with no luck ,thought maybe wiring at fault or junction box but not sure

Fixed it yay,i did a continuity check from the switch to the junction box (light green wire) and nothing so i ran a new wire and hey presto neutral lights on and can start bike with stand down
