Hi,
Battery died today while waiting for a friend with the side lights on, so i had to leave it round his, anyway, it's an L9 and i know the battery is under the front seat, and i haven't ever taken it off before, so as silly as it sounds.... how do you actually remove the battery??? i only ask because he's had a quick look at it and he said looks like you have to remove the fairing as the terminals run into the side of the batter with 2 fuse boxes of some sort on a rail above the battery. as i said i haven't actually seen it yet, so any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Remove the CDI and fuse box and you'll see the terminals on top of the battery

Why didn't you just bump start it?

did, but it was dark so required lights, as i down geared, the revs decreased and the bike cut out cause it was powering the dash, and lights all goood now though
